Case Study: Delivering 15,000 High-Precision Polyester Lifting Slings for New Zealand Infrastructure Projects

Case Study: Delivering 15,000 High-Precision Polyester Lifting Slings for New Zealand Infrastructure Projects

2026-04-03

New Zealand maintains stringent entry standards for lifting equipment. All products must comply with WorkSafe NZ regulations and EN 1492-1 international standards. Given the prevalence of coastal engineering, high salinity and humidity pose dual challenges to the weather resistance and physical strength stability of lifting slings.

The client is a leading logistics and construction equipment supplier in New Zealand. The 15,000 slings were primarily purchased for handling large precast concrete elements and port container lifting. The operational environment involves high-frequency outdoor tasks, requiring the products to maintain their rated load capacity under continuous UV exposure.

To meet the consistency requirements of a large-scale order, we provided a flat polyester webbing sling solution manufactured via fully automated weaving processes:

  • Material Stability: Using 100% high-tenacity polyester industrial yarn, ensuring elongation is strictly controlled below 3%.

  • Enhanced Protection: Addressing the pain point of sharp edges on NZ sites, the eyes were reinforced with wear-resistant sleeves to extend service life.

  • Parametric Traceability: Each sling is equipped with a unique ID code and international color-coded capacity indicators for streamlined compliance asset management.

Parameter Data Standards
Material 100% High-Tenacity Polyester ISO 4878
Safety Factor 7:1 EN 1492-1 / WorkSafe NZ
Temp. Range -40°C to +100°C Thermal Stability Test
Elongation < 3% at WLL Tensile Test Curve

After three months of deployment, the client reported: "The physical performance of this batch is exceptionally balanced. Notably, no significant permanent deformation was observed even after multiple lifting cycles." This successful delivery validates our quality control capabilities for large-scale orders and reinforces our industry position in the Oceania market.
